Market makers
Market makers
Liquidity providers earn maker rebates when their resting limit orders fill. This page is an overview of the market making surface on SatoriEx.
What is live vs. planned
What a market maker does on SatoriEx
Market makers post bids and asks on both sides of a market and earn the spread when both sides fill, plus a maker rebate when their resting orders execute.
- Provide depth โ the order book is more usable for everyone.
- Earn the spread between bid and ask.
- Earn a 5 BPS rebate per fill on top of the spread.
Platform seed liquidity, for context
On market activation, SatoriEx places a configurable order ladder to bootstrap depth. Knowing the ladder shape helps you size your own quotes against it.
| Parameter | What it controls |
|---|---|
| spread | Distance between best bid and best ask, in cents. |
| depth_levels | Number of price levels seeded on each side. |
| base_size | Share size at the level closest to mid. |
| size_multiplier | Multiplier applied to size as levels move further from mid. |
| notional_cap | Maximum total notional placed across all seed levels. |
Seed liquidity is auto-cancelled when a market halts, settles, or is paused. It is not a fast-lane execution path โ it sits in the book like any other order.
